This is my favorite place on Earth. Not this exact spot off of Deloris Ave near Alamo Square in the Pacific Heights District, though it is very nice. Instead, it is the whole area of San Francisco I love so much. Not only is it one of the most photographically beautiful area’s in California, but as a friend of mine once said, “If you stand on a street corner in San Francisco and close your eyes, the city feels like it has a soul. It’s unlike any other city in the world”. I couldn’t agree more. If you did that in any other city, not only would you look stupid, you might even get mugged, but not here in San Francisco. The “City” has something to offer everyone. Try sitting out on the Marina Green or on a blanket at Golden Gate Park sampling a little wine and cheese with fresh sour dough bread. Or how about walking around on the dock at Fisherman’s Wharf breathing the salt air and eating a fresh shrimp cocktail on a cool summer afternoon.
Personally I prefer it close to the coast, the Richmond or the Sunset district is a good choice. The main reason for this is because I absolutely Love the Fog and it seems to be the thickest in those areas. Unfortunately, I do not have many pictures of the Fog, but then again, a clean white page could be substituted and look just the same.
